Stainless Steel Dished ends

We produce dished, flat, conical and hemispherical stainless steel ends made to measure by using the most state-of-the-art technology on the market.
In our production areas we have installed modern CNC machining centres, highly functional and powerful equipment and application software capable of optimising time schedules and productivity.
The very high technological standards of these systems guarantee very strict machining tolerances and excellent quality welding and finishes. Our staff is highly skilled and some of our employees have more than 30 years of experience in this sector.
Our work is based on a ISO 9001 quality management system and our production of end caps for pressure vessels is certified as per PED 2014/68 EU Annex 3.1, EN ISO 3834-2 and AD 2000-Merkblatt HP0.

Materials

Our expertise in processing stainless steels and highly corrosion-resistant materials makes sure that our products meet very high quality requirements. In this way we can exclude contamination with carbon steel or other ferrous metals. We process:

Austenitic and duplex stainless steels
Nickel and its alloys
Titanium
Aluminium
Copper

We have a large stock of 1.4301/SA240-304 and 1.4404/SA240-316L steel plates that allows us to execute orders with a short turnaround time.
We also take on contracted work using customer-supplied plate or discs based on the measurements and requirements established by our engineering department.

Forming

All of our stainless steel dished ends are cold formed. Torispherical dished ends are formed using oleo-dynamic presses and then rolled using flanging machines. Conical ends are formed by plate bending and then by flanging.

We have a full array of machines for the cold forming of torispherical and ellipsoidal dished ends with diameters up to 4 m and with thicknesses ranging from 2 to 20 mm.
We also press caps and form spherical dishes and segments for the construction of hemispheres.

Welding

The welding performed on dished ends, reducers and conical ends is applied using automated systems that employ TIG and Plasma technology. Instead, the hemispheres are TIG- or manual electrode-welded.
Welding is performed with extreme accuracy by our skilled welders qualified as per EN 287 – EN 1418 standards. All welding processes are qualified as per EN ISO 15614-1 + AD2000 standards.

Testing

We can guarantee the conformity of our products with design and regulatory specifications thanks to the non-destructive tests (NDT) and inspections performed as per the main international standards.
Our tests include:

Dimensional inspection
Ultrasonic thickness measurement
X-ray welding inspection
Liquid penetrant testing
Surface roughness inspection

Finishing

We offer a variety of finishes that we carry out on all of our products on request: preparation of edges (squaring, chamfering), surface finishing (satin-polishing, bright-polishing), washing and degreasing, pickling.
